This protector will stop electrical transients such as spikes, surges and noise from damaging strain gage load cells. Excitation voltage can be 18 VDC or +/-9 VDC or 9 VAC. This unit will clamp the excitation voltage to 20 VDC between + and - excitation terminals, 75 VDC between any terminal and earth ground. Three active protection stages on each of four lines. One active protection stage on the shield. Response time on 20 VDC stage is 5 nanoseconds. Response time on 75 VDC stage is 100 nanoseconds. Resistance to ground is 7500 megohms minimum. Grounding is through a 1/4" lug to a 20 ft insulated #10 AWG ground wire(included). Two nylon strain reliefs for 0.187"-0.312" dia cable. Chemically resistant PVC enclosure is gasketed NEMA 1,2,3 and 11 intended for indoor and outdoor service. It is not NEMA 4 (washdown) or NEMA 6 (submersion).
