Frame is painted steel. Power from 9VDC AC adapter (included) or (6) AA batteries (not included). Battery life is 120 hours or 30 hours continuous use. Battery saving auto off timer will turn unit off after 5 minutes of inactivity. Industrial weighing (not legal for trade). Accuracy +/-1 div. 1 Year warranty.
