Model C-0692-5 (257):
In an emergency, the new style ink ribbon cartridge can be used with the old style #8806 printer. The new style plastic guides can be removed by snapping them off. The new style ink ribbon without the guides is the same as the old style EC867 ink ribbon and will work with the old style 8806 printer.
